The Town of Sahuarita and the master-planned community, Rancho Sahuarita, will be featured on ABC News’ Nightline tonight for a spot highlighting the community’s sunny success despite these dark, turbulent times.

Those looking for some bright news can catch the clip at 10:30 tonight on Channel 9.

I know, I know, you’re worried that Nightline has scooped us on the story. Relax dear readers, Ernesto Portillo has the story covered here.

With so much doom and gloom out there, though, I figured the Nightline spot was a good chance to ask Martin Krawitz, a veep with Rancho Sahuarita, why the development is blessed with so much sunshine.

“Well, the community is really focused on a high level of amenitization,” he said.

Amenitization may not be the sexiest — or clearest — answer, but we’ll take it at Clocking In.

Speaking of amenitizing … Not only has Rancho just opened its Marketplace, a shopping center styled after 17th century Spanish colonial architecture, but it also has plans for town center on 350 acres. You can read about that here.
